Item Description
Heitz Wine Cellars is pleased to announce that R20;Martha’s Vineyard” is back in production, after being replanted due to phylloxera. The same proprietary clone of “Martha’s Vineyard” was used in the replanting process so all the factors are identical with the exception of a phylloxera resistant rootstock. The 1996 vintage represents the first vintage from the new vineyard and it is a fabulous wine. The mint nuances are present in the aroma reminiscent of favorite vintages of “Martha’s Vineyard” from the past. The end result is a dark, rich, enticing Cabernet that has proven its merits with connoisseurs worldwide. Score: 93 Rated By : Wine Spectator Aug-2001
