Item Description
Weird, but true baseball facts: On Sunday, April 14, 1974, it was the 8th inning of Detroit's 1--0 win over the Red Sox. Willie Horton mortally wounded a pigeon with a foul fly directly over home plate in Fenway Park. The pigeon landed at the feet of Red Sox catcher Bob Montgomery. Montgomery was a Boston Red Sox catcher for ten consecutive seasons, from 1970-79. He was a proud member of the 1975 World Series Team and later became a Red Sox announcer. Own a piece of history -- and not the pigeon. Autographed photo and baseball by Bob Montgomery. To read more about Montgomery, go to Basball Library
