Welcome to a Sneak Peak of Maine Time Banks 2nd Annual Online Auction!
The Time Bank is a service exchange based on Time Dollars, the currency of equality, that empowers individuals to utilize their assets, to enhance their lives, neighborhood and community.
Members exchange services statewide with individual members, partnering organizations, and businesses. Services include transportation, health care, education, home repairs, arts & entertainment, and hundreds of other everyday needs.
The Time Bank has over 100 families who are able to access health care and do so in dignity knowing they have earned it by giving back to the community.
For three years straight the Time Bank was able to teach 5th grade students about reciprocity. Students earned a refurbished computer after completing the program.
Within our organization every hour of service is valued equally; every member's gifts and talents are honored equally. It's the dance of giving and receiving, and ALL are welcome!
