Item Description
Rafanelli premium wines are sold only through a limited mailing list.
Now in their 4th generation of growing grapes and making wine in the Dry Creek Valley, the winery is small and family operated. Their focus has always been on quality over quantity.
Three rare, hard to find bottles:
#1 Cabernet Sauvignon 1989 Dry Creek
Pleasantly earthy and tightly focused on a beam of black cherry and currant that's rich, deep and complex, finishing with firm, integrated tannins. Aging very well.
#2 Cabernet Sauvignon 1990 Dry Creek
Intense, spicy and elegant, a lavish wine that stays reined in, showing plenty of appealing berry, currant and nutmeg aromas and flavors, and hinting at vanilla bean and coffee on the finish.
#3 Cabernet Sauvignon 1991 Dry Creek
Firm and intense, with ripe, juicy Cabernet fruit that echoes currant, black cherry and spicy oak flavors. It comes across as a bit rustic and chunky, but this doesn't shortchange you on rich, deep flavors.
