The CAP Foundation is pathology's public benefit to which CAP and its members can proudly point. Established in 1963, it is the philanthropic arm of the CAP. It provides its members with a charitable tax-deductible vehicle to recognize colleagues through honor and memorial gifts. It is a place to perpetuate leader legacies through the creation of estate planning gifts and donor-advised funds. The Foundation links scientific and educational endeavors with corporations and academic pathology. It is the pathology's own grant-making organization that furthers pathology research and innovation, advances education, builds leadership skills, and provides humanitarian medical service to patients in need.
