Everyone wins when you make a bid! That means not just you, but thousands of students across Michigan who receive The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press in their schools.

All donations received by Michigan K.I.D.S. - a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization - through the BIDS for KIDS auction, help provide newspapers and related curriculum materials to students and teachers around the state.

With the help of our generous sponsors - as well as those who've donated to the auction - you can support the Michigan K.I.D.S. BIDS for KIDS auction by bidding on one of the many exciting offerings. Opportunities range from autographed sports memorabilia and sports experience packages to exotic getaways and nights on the town and more designed to delight and surprise!

  • Detroit Tigers donated an experience package for four (4) that includes attending batting practice on the field; a meet and greet with a player; receive an autographed item and then enjoy a 2007 game in 4 premium seats!
  • Palace Sports & Entertainment donated 12 tickets to a Penthouse Suite for a Pistons game, as well as 4 tickets to a Palace show, 4 tickets to a DTE show and 4 tickets to a Meadow Brook show!
  • Detroit Pistons donated four (4) Press Row tickets to a home game!
  • Corporate Travel Service is offering a Caribbean Cruise on Royal Caribbean's Grandeur of the Seas
  • The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island donated accommodations for two for two nights, including dinner on arrival day, breakfast and dinner on second day, and breakfast on departure day!
