Stanford biology professor David Epel will lead this behind-the- scenes tour of Stanford's Marine Biology Laboratories, at Hopkins Marine Station in Pacific Grove for one family.
The laboratories are immediately next to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This tour will be tailored to the interests of any budding scientists or ocean lovers; you may see working laboratories, peek into some microscopes, possibly hold starfish, sea urchins or other sea animals from the lab's working tanks, and have a chance to collect shells and sea glass on the lab's private beach. This is a rare and fascinating opportunity to spend a few hours with a noted marine biologist and a Brandeis grandparent, too!
