Item Description
They say the world is your canvas, and the Marin 3rd graders designed their own canvas in a very unique way!
The process: Termed Automatic Drawing, each child drew whatever he or she wanted on a roll of paper (without being able to see what classmates had drawn). The rolls of drawings were then shrunk down and displayed on an overhead projector, which allowed the drawings to be transferred onto canvas.
Then the 3rd grade artists painted their creations on canvas, using acrylic paint.
This is one of 4 beautifual canvases that can hang individually or together. Each canvas is 18" by 36" and was worked on by 4-5 kids.
Painting #2 artists:
ALICE UNKRICH
JONATHAN STADTNER
