Item Description
This wonderful gift basket features two African cookbooks and a variety of African crafts. The A "Sharing Our Best" Makindu cookbook was printed early in the life of the program and features both favorite Kenyan recipes from the Centre as well as hometown Brownsville Oregon favorites. The exclusive from Starbucks cookbook "Discovery of a Continent: Foods, Flavors and Inspirations from Africa" by Chef Marcus Samuelsson (with foreword by Desmond Tutu). Additional items are a set of six napkin rings is carved from African Mahogany (lion, cheetah, elephant, rhinoceros, giraffe, and zebra), and beautiful Kenyan handcarved salad servers with bone handle inlays. And it all comes in a big, beautiful sisal basket woven by the Wendo Weavers of Makindu.
