Taste: Tight nose at this juncture (tasted 7/11/07) with aromas of forest floor, spicy cloven and black cherry fruit with hints of coffee and cola. Day two (corked overnight 3/4 bottle): Opens up nicely to show black cherry fruit on the nose with strong coffee/mocha underpinning the fruit. On the palate she's extremely broad and deep showing that same black cherry flavor upfront and finishing long. Monumentally structured with perfect acid to tannin ratio, this wine is surprisingly approachable right now but shows a silky tannin structure indicating the patient will be rewarded. This hillside grown wine needs lots of time as it only now beginning to show itself.
