This gorgeous painting by Burford Evans is approximately 32 inches wide & 45 inches tall and comes with antique finished gilded frame.
Burford Evans, studied Fine Art at the Sorbonne In Paris in the 1950’s and then returned to his home in rural, central Texas. His oil and pencil works are expressive and textured and distinctive because of his use of abstract color. He paints the people and faces around him. Evans has exhibited extensively in Europe and the U.S. and is listed in Who’s Who International Biographies, 19th and 20th Century Black Artists, The Catalogue of American Artists. He has received numerous awards including the Gold Medal of the Academy of Italy. His work is included in several museums, private and public collections.
