Item Description

Imagine a crisp, Fall day while sitting under the shade of a beautiful Shumard red oak with golden-brown scarlet hues surrounding you.  This 45-gallon tree, named after a Texas state geologist, Benjamin Franklin Shumard, is prized by homeowners throughout the South.

The Shumard may attain heights of 120 feet, although specimens of 100 feet are more frequent. Other attributes include its ability to produce a spreading, symmetrical crown and its resistance to serious pests. Its finest quality, however, may be the fantastic foliage hues this oak offers each fall.

Note:  Tree to be picked up at Texas Tree Depot or make arrangement with donor for tree delivery for a fee.
