Item Description
This auction item is a cocktail party for ten couples hosted by Houston historian Story Sloane III at his West Houston Art Gallery. Join Mr. Sloane as he showcases his photographic collection of vintage Houston. Outstanding large format negatives yield images of historical significance in the evolution of Houston as a city.
For over 20 years Story Sloane has worked to preserve Houston's visual history. The fruits from his efforts can be found in a number of books and publications chroicling all aspects of life in the Bayou City. Mr. Sloane writes a monthly column for Houston Lifesyle and Home Magazine.
Beverage and a light buffet provided plus each couple will receive a set of five posters with images from the Sloan Collection. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about our city's great past through the eys of fantastic photographers of long ago.
Non-alcoholic beverages can be substituted at the winner's request.
