Item Description
This is more than a collectible, it's an investment in GOLD, the official bullion of America.
For more than two-hundred years, America has served as a bright beacon of liberty, offering hope and the promise of a better future for millions of oppressed people throughout the world. Reflecting the ideals on which this nation was founded, the American Gold Eagle pays tribute to America's role as the world's principal protector of freedom. First issued in 1986, the American Gold Eagle is the official gold bullion coin of the United States. The obverse features the classic Striding Liberty design, first created by Augustus Saint Gaudens in 1907. The reverse captures the image of an American Bald Eagle, poised in flight and protecting its nest below. This American Gold Eagle contains 1 Troy ounce of .9167 fine gold. This “W” mint mark indicates the coin was struck at the West Point mint in New York. It is certified MS69.
