Item Description
Rick Hornbeck will pilot a 30-minute ride for up to two people, either over central Maine departing from Augusta, or over the coast of Maine departing near Rockland, in a 1929 WACO straightwing biplane NC608N*. The airplane known as Texaco #7 was purchased by Texaco in 1929, and in 1930 flew coast-to-coast towing a glider known as the Texaco Eaglet (now part of the Smithsonian collection) piloted by the famous aviator, Frank Hawks.
Item Special Note
Subject to weather and if, for any reason, WACO #7 is not available for the flight, Rick will fly you from the Owls Head Transportation Museum near Rockland, Maine in the museum's 1931 WACO, another meticulously restored historic aircraft. Valid through the end of September 2007.
