Item Description
The Expo was conceived by famed yacht designer Gary Hoyt, designed by Ted Hood and built by TPI, (builder of JBoats, Aldens, Jeanneau catamarans and Freedoms). The EXPO was introduced at Sail Expo ’93 in Atlanta. This is a safe, dry, sturdy and stable boat. A novice can be SOLO sailing in just one hour. Boat features include a furled sail on a carbon fiber mast with a free standing boom which is self vanging, self supporting, and clears the head of a seated skipper. Her electric motor – which does need work- has five forward speeds, 3 reverse speeds and 28 lbs of thrust. She is equipped with a Harken downhall, harken mainsheet, Harken outhaul, color coded mainsheet to match wind vane and an efficient foil daggerboard. Boat trailer is included. Sister boats are advertised for over $5,000. This is an auction buy!
