Item Description

**Humorist, Storyteller, NPR Commentator, Poet**
2 Kevin Kling story cd's and 2 tickets to the Kevin Kling Benefit Event for the Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork, Wednesday, May 2nd 7:00PM at the Waldorf School.
 - Stories Off the Shallow End was recorded in 2000. It includes pieces from the holiday show "Tales From The Charred Underbelly of the Yule Log" as well as Kling's observations on sports fans, snow days, and teen Valentine angst.
 - Wonderlure was recorded in 2002. It features 8 classic stories which have been previously broadcast on public radio but now made available on this CD for the first time.

"Kling's stories fall somewhere between David Lynch's perversity and Garrison Keillor's home-spun humor..." -- Denver Post

Kling describes his zodiac sign as "Minnesota with Iowa rising," and his accent and parlance could be right off the set of the movie "Fargo." And while many of his reference points are specific to the upper Midwest, his childhood stories and topical observations touch upon universal human experiences, with plenty of absurdity and irony in the mix. (His record company thinks he's laugh-till-it-hurts funny and likes it when he drops by for pizza on Thursdays.)
