Item Description

In the novel "The Silver Cup," it's the year 1095 and fifteen-year-old Anna longs for a different life in her small German village.  But her youngest cousin, Thomas, disappears, and Anna suspects his mother of an unspeakable crime. When Anna risks everything to rescue an orphaned Jewish girl whose only connection to her family is a silver cup, the two girls forge a remarkable friendship that defies the intolerance of their time.

In her debut novel released this month, "The Silver Cup," Constance Leeds paints a rich, colorful picture of an eleventh-century life marked by courage, will, and most of allhope.

Constance Leeds is a retired lawyer and the mother of three mostly grown children. When the children were young the family lived on a farm with an ill tempered pig, a pain in the neck goat, and a bunch of wonderful, egg laying chickens. These days she lives in the city of Boston with two very special dogs.

Learn more about this new author and her novel when you and two (2) guests enjoy a luncheon with her at Picco restaurant in the South End.  In addition, Constance will autograph a copy of the novel for each of you!
