Item Description
Add this superb Bordeaux, a 1975 Petrus Pomerol to your wine collection. The 19th century vineyard owned at present by Jean-Pierre Moueix, is located 500 meters north of the Saint-Emilion appellation (Appellation Pomerol Controlée). The predominantly merlot (95%) and cabernet franc (5%) grapes are fermented in cement vats, aged in 100% new oak barrels for 22-28 months and are clarified with 5 fresh egg whites per barrel. The wine is never filtered and is the quality equivalent of first growth. What a production! The Petrus Pomerol is said to have “incredible power, depth and richness yet a remarkable balance with penetrating aromas of ripe mulberry, black currant and fruit and spicy vanilla oak, which sets it apart from all Bordeaux’s finest wines”. This 300 acre vineyard produces just 4000 cases per year and this is YOUR opportunity to own a very special bottle.
