Item Description
You'll start with the "big" wines and then start moving up the power scale...it's a rare tasting the begins with Chateau Pibran Pauillac (a $40 Bordeaux that scored 92 points in Wine Spectator) as the first wine of the evening. Robert Cavanugh, award-winning Wine Educator, will lead this tasting for 20 people in your home. As the night continues the wines improve onward and upward in terms of flavor, style and richness. From Bordeaux you'll move on to the Rhone Valley for Chateauneuf-du-Pape, crossing over to Italy for Piedmont's Barbaresco and powerful Barolo, down to Cape Town to sample a Stellenbosch Pinotage before heading west to Stag's Leap and the heavyweight Cabernets of Napa Valley. You'll conclude with a Grand Tasting of port, sampling the difference in style between Ruby, Tawny, LBV and Vintage selections.
Included in this package are the tasting glasses for 20 guests along with a "palette" of hors d'oeuvres to compliment the many colors of red!
