Item Description
This bottle of Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards Pinot Noir comes from a vineyard south of the city of Napa. The vineyard drains into the Napa River and has fog that burns off late in morning. Early afternoon breezes bring the fog back in for the late afternoon and allows for 4-6 hours of direct sunlight. This gives the vineyard a slow ripening growing season. The vines have a classic long season to concentrate the varietal flavors. This Pinot Noir is from Burgandy Clones 667 and 115.
After controlled fermentation and maceration of a week to ten days, the wines are pressed, racked, and placed in new 225 liter French oak barrels for approximately 22 months before being bottled unfiltered. The wines are then bottle-aged for another year before being released.
