One Week Stay in Beautiful Kirkwood , CA Approximate value:  $2,000

Located 3 hours from Castro Valley, and 30 minutes south of Lake Tahoe on scenic Hwy. 88.

This luxurious 3 bedroom/2 bathroom townhouse sleeps 6-8 people.  Located within Kirkwood Ski Resort, this "Lost Cabin" townhome is only steps away from the ski lifts.  Although there will be no skiing during the summer week you will be staying, the lifts do still run allowing mountain bikers the opportunity to explore the mountains.  The lift accessed mountain bike park is in operation on the weekends only through Labor Day weekend, trail condititon permitting. Ride up Chairs 1 (Snowkirk) and 2 (Caples Crest) with your mountain bike, and prepare yourself for a thrilling descent. Choose from a network of roads and single track that lead you through spectacular terrain and offer plenty of options that allow you to be as daring or as mellow as you want. Mountain bikes can be rented daily at the Adventure Center, located in Red Cliffs Lodge.

Recreation:  There is a swimming pool and two hot tubs open to all ages.  There is also exercise equipment available.

Bike:  Lift access is open for mountain bikers on the weekend only.  Non-lift access is available daily.

Climbing Wall/Zip Line and Ropes Course:  The 30 foot climbing wall and zip line/ropes course are open to all ages.

Disc Golf:  Kirkwood has a disc golf course.

Lakes:  There are three lakes within close driving distance from Kirkwood :  Silver Lake , Caples Lake , and Kirkwood Lake

Horseback Riding:  Guided horseback rides are available.

Hiking:  There are many hiking trails in and around Kirkwood .
