Item Description
Visit one of the few remaining "Old Florida" fishing villages as guests at the Island Place Condominiums in historic Cedar Key. This is a great opportunity to relax on the Gulf or busy yourself with kayak trips and fishing. "This is not your parents country club", but a real, working, rustic, fishing village.
Included in this offering are four nights lodging in a one-bedroom unit at the Island Place Condominiums at a time of your choosing; based on availability. We have two one-bedroom units to choose from. Both are on the first floor, one is just feet from the waters of the Gulf with the other overlooking the pool. Condos sleep 5 comfortably. Pick your dates and we'll check availability of each unit. The development is in the heart of downtown with numerous "quaint" restaurants within easy walking distance.
Also included is a full-day charter fishing trip with Captain Frank, either in-shore or offshore depending upon weather, buyer's desire and tides. Inshore fishing can be either on fly or casting gear. You will be in a flats boat hunting for Redfish and Sea Trout. Offshore fishing will consist of a 20 mile run out to the "grounds" to troll and bottom fish for Grouper and King Mackerel.
Kayak rentals are available a short walk from the condominium. The area is known as the Nature Coast and has abundant wildlife. A quick paddle offers opportunities for birding, exploring the salt marshes and tours of neighboring islands.

- Cedar Key is located 2.5 hr drive northwest from both Orlando and Tampa International Airports. This trip would make a great addition to any Disney trip or other Florida vacation. Spring and fall are the most temperate, however summer will have the best angling.
