This basket contains a very special treat - small-batch premium spirits that are made right here on Chicago's North Shore. It includes bottles of North Shore Vodka and Distiller's Gin No. 6, a classic martini shaker and two martini glasses, a lemon zester for making garnishes, and a classic cocktail recipe book.

North Shore Distillery is the first and only boutique distillery in Illinois. Located on Chicago's North Shore, the distillery handcrafts unique small-batch spirits. North Shore Vodka and Distiller's Gin No. 6, the company's first two products, were introduced in late 2005 in the Chicago area.

North Shore Vodka: Better than anything you'll get from the other side of the Atlantic, North Shore Vodka is crafted in small batches through a proprietary method designed by North Shore Distillery using Midwestern grain, the best grain in the world. North Shore Vodka is extremely clean and smooth, and is most often consumed in a vodka martini.

Distiller's Gin No. 6: This award-winning gin is crafted by infusing ten hand-selected botanicals, including juniper, cardamom, fresh lemons and lavender blossoms. Its smooth, fresh juniper spirit is paired with a complex balance of citrus, spice and floral notes. Chicago Magazine named No. 6 their favorite gin, rating it higher than Bombay Sapphire, Hendricks and Tanqueray Ten (January 2007). The Beverage Tasting Institute also recently awarded this gin a Gold Medal (Exceptional) rating. Their comments were:

"Clear. Lime peel, cinnamon stick, and herbal juniper aromas are intense. A round, vibrant entry leads to a dryish full-bodied palate with robust juniper, cinnamon bark, sweet lemon peels, cloves, and peppery spice. Finishes with a lingering fade of sweet herbs and a touch of minerals and honey. Super fresh, three dimensional juniper, cinnamon bark and spice character really jumps out at you. Wow!"
