Item Description
Poets Laureate, appointed by the Librarian of Congress, are entrusted with raising the status of poetry in the everyday conscience of the American public. At Congressional, we are very lucky to have our own version of a "poet laureate" in the person of 3rd grade teacher, Nancy Moen. Be the proud owner of a collection of framed original poems- some old, some new! The collection includes:
- Prints . . . about the prints of a chickadee in winter and the prints left in the author's memory. The background is a sweet gum tree in the yard where the memory was made.
- Summer Lea's Epiphany . . . a poem written about the beauty of a meadow in summertime. The background is a quiet meadow scene. Children love the color of this poem!
- Just Pondering Friendly . . . a poem about taking time to listen to and be a friend. The background could be mugs of coffee or chocolate, hot!
