Item Description
Thompkin Cellars is a family-owned and operated winery in Costa Mesa. They focus on making small lots of handcrafted wines from grapes grown in Santa Barbara County. Pegasus parents Jeff Dobkin and Julie Thompson-Dobkin have forged relationships with some of the best vineyards around.
This fabulous package includes:
2 bottles of 2004 Syrah (Santa Barbara County): Lots of chocolate, berries and mint; can drink now but should age well for 5-10 years.
2 bottles 2004 Couchant (85% Cabernet Franc and 15% Syrah): Moderate to full-bodied wine with soft tannins. The palate consisting of hints of bing cherries, baker's chocolate, and mind with a long lingering finish.
2 bottles 2005 3ie Degre (25% Mourvedre, 50% Syrah): A California version of a big Chateaneuf du Pape. A complex, full-bodied, rich wine with moderate tannins. The palate consisting of blackberries, licorice, hints of tobacco and a smooth finish.
