Item Description
Join the curator of the prestigious Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company's Armory Museum on the fourth floor of Faneuil Hall in Boston and, through a personal tour for two people, explore the history of the world's third oldest chartered military organization (founded 1638 and located at Faneuil Hall since 1746).
Afterwards, enjoy a lunch of seafood and other New England favorites for two at the world-famous Union Oyster House (41 Union Street, Boston; founded 1826), the oldest restaurant in Boston and the oldest restaurant in continuous service in the United States. Following lunch, join restaurant owner Joseph Milano for a behind-the-scenes tour of the National Historic Landmark building, where you will learn some interesting, little-known facts, such as: in 1771, the building was the headquarters of the revolutionary newspaper "The Massachusetts Spy", and in 1796, it was the residence of a future King of France; it was the first place toothpicks were used in the United States; and it was a favorite dining establishment of the Kennedy clan (including President John F. Kennedy).
