Item Special Note
Loyal H. "Bud" Chapman
Bud Chapman has been a scratch golfer for years. After playing with Arnold Palmer in the 2006 "Beat Your Age Tournament," Arnold wrote to Bud, "Your artwork is great, but I am even more impressed with your golf game." Bud was a B-29 bomber pilot in WWII, later a gold prospector, and a long-time artist. He finds inspiration for his artwork in his own inventive and playful mind.
Over 3 million prints of Bud Chapman's art are in circulation. They hang in clubhouses, offices, and dens around the world.
100 Years of Minnesota Golf:
Chapman was commissioned by the MGA to create a painting to commemorate its centennial. Many of the leading golf personalities who have contributed to the game and several significant championship sites witness to its greatest moments in Minnesota are depicted in a colorful montage from the mind and imagination of Bud Chapman.
