Item Description
Here's an exciting and inspirational program for your book club, church, school, or other organization by noted speaker, author, and poet Richard Stoll Armstrong, whose dramatic readings have challenged and inspired audiences throughout America. Using poetry, music, and commentary, Dr. Armstrong blends humor with penetrating insights in a unique and creative way. His poetry reflects his remarkably varied background as a World War II Navy veteran, minor league baseball player, major league public relations director, advertising copy and plans director, radio broadcaster, television program director, development officer, teacher, coach, and pastor. The author of many books and articles, and a former journal editor, Dr. Armstrong has preached and spoken on five continents. The response of audiences to his ADVENTURES IN RHYME AND METER has been unanimous: "A powerfully moving experience!"
Item Special Note
The offer is limited to organizations within a 200-mile range of Princeton, New Jersey. Dr. Armstrong will work with the presenter in determining a mutually convenient date and time for the program. He will also discuss with the presenter the theme of the program, and other details relating to logistical arrangements, the nature and size of the audience, and any special circumstances that will be helpful to him in preparing his program. The presenter is responsible for Dr. Armstrong’s travel expenses, including lodging, if an overnight stay is necessary.
