Item Description

The Chesuncook Lake House is a small country Inn, built as a farmhouse in 1864 at Chesuncook Village, to supply logging operations in Northern Maine's Wilderness, now on the Federal Historical Register. The Lake House is located 50 miles north of the Moosehead Lake Region, situated in the center of the last recognized wilderness area in the East. It is on NFCT Map #11.

The Lake House has been featured by numerous magazines as a "very unique and special place" (Yankee, Down East, Boston Glove, New York Times, etc.). Yankee Magazine selected the Chesuncook Lake House as a 1997 editors pick of Outstanding Places in New England.

Still inaccessible by automobile we rely upon boat, floatplane, or a 4-mile overland ski or hike for our transportation needs. With it's well tended lawns, stretching to the shore of Chesuncook Lake, overlooking Mt. Katahdin, the Lake House is a warm and welcoming site to our guests.

Item Special Note

One night's lodging for one person. Transportation NOT included. Scheduling arrangements to be made directly with Chesuncook Lake House - July and August not available.
