Item Description
Cleveland Heights' own. and FutureHeights friend, Viktor Schreckengost has signed this wonderful original print especially for the FutureHeights auction!
This is one of the prints created from a run of 110 for the 1980 Cleveland International Printing calendar.
Measuring 18x24" and ready for framing, Little Italy, at the bottom of Mayfield Hill in Cleveland Heights, is one of Cleveland's most historic neighborhoods and still relatively much as it was when it was developed in the early part of the 20th Century.
Mr. Schreckengost captures the hustle and bustle of a winter day, people headed toward lunch or Corbo's Bakery, no doubt.
This would make an exceptional addition to your Cleveland collection or hanging on your living room wall.
A national treasure and Cleveland hero, Viktor Schreckengost (who celebrated his 100th birthday this year), is internationally known for his body of industrial design and artistic paintings and watercolors, having created designs of mid-century Murray pedal cars and bicycles, Salem china, to the first cab-over-engine truck, among many, many others. Feted by the Cleveland Museum of Art in 2000 with a one man show, Viktor's centennial year was celebrated nationally with over 100 exhibitions of his work in 2006.
