Item Description
This original lithograph from 1975 is by Marc Chagall whose works of art are in major museums throughout the world. He is known for his colorful and romantic depictions of a world that is dreamlike and nostalgic. "Green River" exemplifies Chagall's superb use of color and makes a subtle reference to the biblical "Tree of Life." Many of Chagall's works are influenced by his origins, being Jewish and growing up in a small Russian village deeply rooted in Jewish traditions.
