Item Special Note
For the last five years, Christian has called Ohio his home and has brought a combination of viewpoints and vision unlike any other artist on the Columbus scene. Christian uses his background in the sciences to bring mathematics and scientific symbols as meaningful metaphoric elements into his work. He is a skilled painter, using traditional "old world" glazing techniques for his oils, and he also works with encaustics. For this show, Christian is introducing a completely new "crayon" encaustic technique, which he has recently developed and which is unique in today's art world.
