Item Description

This weekend training seminar on CBT for Insomnia is offered on May 5th -- May 7th at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. The seminar will provide information on both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment. The majority of the course, however, will be focused on how to conduct Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)as an evidenced based intervention for Primary and Secondary Insomnia. The seminar will be divided into five parts, which include:

  • The definition of insomnia
  • A review of the conceptual framework for treatment
  • An overview of the components of therapy
  • A session-by-session didactic
  • A Case Example
  • Video examples
This training seminar is intended for Clinical Psychologists, PhD/NP level Nurses and Physicians who are interested in the assessment and treatment of Insomnia. Clinical Trainees are also welcome. Lastly, this seminar offers both CE and CME credits.
