Betty Sue (Hagerman) Welch LOVES to teach tennis, no matter what the situation or the skill level. She brings enthusiam to every situation, and helps the students have fun while improving their skills. She feels strongly that every person can learn, and that every person is important. Career highlights: 1)inducted into Texas Tennis Hall of Fame (1999); 2)35 years of teaching experience, and over 40 years of competitive experience; 3)teaching and coaching experience at local, state, collegiate, national, international, and professional levels; 4)currently HP Middle School Tennis Coach and State Sport Director for Tennis for Special Olympics Texas; formerly 16 yrs as HP Varsity Head Coach; USPTA-certified tennis professional; member, Wilson Advisory Staff.

Item Special Note

1) a)up to 8 individuals; b)ages 5 and up; c)all skill levels-beginning to advanced, and special needs; 2)examples of activities include, but are not limited to, birthday party, group lesson or clinic, group competition with or without instruction (as desired), fun or fitness session (can include more PE-type activities plus tennis; 3)90 minutes in length; 4)participants need to dress for activity, and especially wear tennis or cross-training shoes; 5)racquet options: a)bring your own; b)loaners will be available (let Coach Welch know how many your group will need to borrow and the ages, so appropriate racquets will be available; c)racquets will be available to purchase (let Coach Welch know what price range you are considering); 6)a)bidder is responsible for any court costs; b)location will be mutually agreeable to bidder and instructor; c)bidder (or group) is responsible for any food or beverages desired; 7)you are going to have lots of fun, and get some exercise, plus improve your skills according to the activities you want to include; 8)instructor LOVES to teach!! Instructor is certified teacher in all-level PE and Special Education; instructor is state sport director for tennis for Special Olympics Texas; special needs participants most welcome; participants can include both kids and adults;
