Item Special Note
This art form is called "paper quilling," an Indian art from the 1700s and it is not seen much anymore. I've chosen this kind of art due to the creativity and you can create your own style. As I've shown in my piece, I draw my own patterns and create many different things. I've been quilling for four years and will never go back to painting or drawing - not when I can draw pictures out of little coils of paper. The piece "Garden of Eden" means to me a place in heaven. I recently lost my mother in April 2005 and I know she is in a paradise like this. I made this piece as I thought of my beautiful mother.
This piece will be on display at the Lab Gallery at the
Roger Smith Hotel in NYC from December 13th-17th.
