This piece took me almost an entire year to complete. This is mainly due to the fact that creativity on this level is not allowed in North Carolina. I had to work in my cell at night and hide this work during the day to keep the administration from taking it from me. This picture was created by using thousands upon thousands of small dots. I was able to get my hands on some red, yellow and orange markers to airbrush the flames in the background. But most of the work was done with a regular black pen....as a matter of fact the same one I'm using to write this letter now.
This piece will be on display at the Lab Gallery at the
Roger Smith Hotel in NYC from December 13th-17th.
