Item Special Note
This piece is to let people know throughout the nation that the wolf is still here just as all Native American "tribes" are as well. So they can see and hear the soulful call soaring across the land. So we should protect and honor all living thrings. That's why this piece of art is in the form of a shield. When I look out my cell window at night sometimes I'm able to see the moon and this was my vision. So I am honored to do this. I only had colored pencils and an "ink pen," no materials to work with or any funds to buy some. So I had to sell a hair comb to be able to get the illustration board - a 10 cent comb got me the $1.65 illustration board since they don't sell haircombs anymore back here in ad-seg. So I had the square illustration board. My next move was to cut it inot a circle, which was not easy without any sharp objects. There is no way that you can have tools unless you make them. Then I had a shoe-lace and a sock that I un-did and spun it into some string. Allthe string I spun and dyed differentcolors by crushing colored pencils and adding soem other stuff so that the color would stay.I live in a cell 23/7 locked-down and to get a hold of materials is unreal. I thank the great spirit for guiding me with this work of "Honored Spirit."
