Item Special Note
Even though my body is in captivity, the spirit can only be bound if we let it. This piece makes me think of all the ways these spirits have been suppressed, but have yet always found a way to live on and stay in the minds of all who see them. This piece was done with ink pens and lots of time. I like to do work with pencils more, but it's hard for us to get quality pencils in here due to all the rules that are put in place to try to discourage us from expressing ourselves. But it is like any knowledge that one learns, once something is taught, it can never be taken away.
