Item Special Note

My drawing represents my own interpretation of the Bhutanese Buddhist tale, Puen Zhi. In this story - which teaches understanding, respect, cooperation and harmony - an elephant, rabbit, monkey and partridge all claim ownership of the same tree. The elephant said he saw it first, the money said he ate the fruits, the rabbit said he ate the leaves, and the partridge said it was his because the tree would never have grown if he hadn't spit out the seed. The elephant, rabbit and monkey bowed to the partridge as a bigger brother and became friends sharing the tree in peach and harmony.

This piece will be on display at the Lab Gallery at the
Roger Smith Hotel in NYC from December 13th-17th.
