Item Description

A visionary collector of contemporary art for over 25 years, Arthur Goldberg himself will act as host and guide for an afternoon viewing of his extensive private collection, located in 2 separate homes of Boston's loveliest suburbs.

"Collecting," writes Arthur, "is my way of aging gracefully. The act of collecting represents a hope that one voyeur made an attempt to realize truth."

Signature works include artists such as Scott Prior, Morgan Bulkeley, Gerry Bergstein, Brett Bigbee, Sally Michaels, William Beckman, Milton Avery, Aaron Fink and Randall Deihl.

Many of Goldberg's smaller pieces were assembled for New Visions at the Danforth Museum of Art in 2003. They include Andrew Valko, Barry Rockwell and Wendy Seller, among many others.

Item Special Note

The Tour & Transportation: On a day mutually convenient for Arthur and the winning bidder, a van will be dispatched to pick up 4-6 lucky art lovers at the Attleboro Arts Museum. The van will leave the Museum at 12:00 noon, with light snacks provided, and return by 6:00 p.m.

(If more convenient, your group may choose to drive to the homes directly.)
