Item Description
The Umbrella Man is an iconic image for Peter Max - a Fellini-esque character, painted with the artist's characteristic vivid and intense color palette, standing in wonder as he witnesses nature's ongoing parade.
This poster was created in 1999 as part of Max's Neo-Fauve Series. It was signed in 2005 and illustrated by the artist on the lower left with the face of a woman. It measures 36"(h) x 24"(w) in a black wood frame under glass.
Google Peter Max and you'll get a mind-boggling 350,000 entries. With work that spans decades from the 60's to today, Peter Max may well be the most renowned and sought-after living artist in the world. He has painted for presidents, rock stars, celebrities, the last five Super Bowls, and for causes that inspire world peace. We are delighted to offer this brilliantly colored and beautifully conceived print.
