Item Special Note
My entry was done with pen and a little rub in with a stub. This is freehand work. She is not to be confused with the common "Diva" as divas are more popularly known today. I use Diva in the context of its original meaning. A goddess, thus the reasoning behind her headdress and fancy feather work - the feather are of quetzal. Her dress has intricate designs, much detail went in that area. Her staff reflects the belief of Native American creation accounts of the Spider Woman. Here la Dive has received a new piece of ornamentation - the necklace in her hand. She has incense burning, as well. This is a part of my Mexican culture.
