Item Description

Using ages-old Japanese woodcut techniques and tools, Hiroko Lee has captured the austere and solid symmetry of the trees in Fellsway West. The woodcut measures 17"(h) x 24"(w) in a black wood frame under glass.

A former faculty member of the Attleboro Arts Museum, Hiroko Lee is a graduate of Tsuda College in Japan and holds an MA in Creative Arts from Bridgewater State College. She also earned a graduate certificate from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Hiroko Lee's work is part of numerous private and public collections, including the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Harvard Law School and Wellington Management. In 2002 and 2003, she received the Boston Printmakers Awards, the Francis Roddy Competition Award from the Concord Art Association and "Best of Show" from the Brockton and Cambridge Art Associations.
