Item Description
Girls DO just want to have fun, and Jennifer Martinelli's Beautiful Day Vase makes one positively chortle with delight. An earthenware vase with a lively and colorful bird-in-the hand, and coffee-on-the-coif, this is a charming piece, with ruffled edges and polka-dot handles. It measures 7"(h) x 4"(w) x 5"(d).
Jennifer Martinelli has taught at the Attleboro Arts Museum and the Fuller Museum of Craft in Brockton, Ma. She is currently a part time potter and teacher at Mansfield High School. "The misshapen, irregular and decorative aspect of my pottery reflects my sense of humor, "she writes. "The characters enact dreams, fantasies, hopes and general silliness in a colorful and often sarcastic manner...Together they form a story that is often ridiculous but also subconsciously therapeutic."
