Item Description
Artist Renee Moore Brooks uses beads as symbols to tell a story. In Lapis Butterfly, Renee uses an African brass butterfly medallion as the centerpiece. It is set off by deep lapis blue beads, which "help one to speak their truth". It is finished with a small brass spiral, symbolizing "the soul seeking eternal truth". This is a unique and eye catching neckpiece, hand crafted by the artist. It measures 18".
For at least forty thousand years beads have been created and worn by every culture in the world. Using images about our relationship to nature and the creative spirit, Renee Moore Brooks designs many of her neckpieces with the hope that the observer or wearer of the neckpiece will discover her own story.
