This handmade chair, carved out of recovered wild tamarind wood, is offered by Matthew Steckley Contemporary Organics, one of Miami's premier design firms devoted to environmentally sound practices in furniture-making. In the tradition of great twentieth-century Modernist design, the sale of these works will benefit the Bass Museum's ongoing exhibition project devoted to Miami Mid-century Modernist design titled "Promises of Paradise: Staging Miami at Mid-Century." Attend the Museum's live auction for a chance to meet the artist and view his works.

Chair specifics: 24"W x 24"D x 40"H. Shown in wild tamarind with a hand-rubbed oil finish. Each element of this chair flows organically into the next. Choose either solid wood seat or an upholstered cushion seat.
