Item Description
A unique Polaroid color transfer process informs the photographic work of local artist, Amy McCoy. Nantucket Light is a giclee print on a wrap-around canvas that has an old- world feel -- the blurred focus and historical solidity of a vintage postcard.
Nantucket Light measures 24"(h) x 32"(w) on a wrap around canvas.
Amy McCoy is a self-taught photographer who has been working in Polaroid Transfer since 2000 when she was introduced to the process during a papermaking workshop at Seastone Papers on Martha's Vineyard. Amy has studied at RISD and the Massachusetts College of Art and has shown her works at a number of regional galleries, including Frog Hollow, The Vermont State Craft Center's Italian Connections, and the Wilson-Scott Galleries in Wickford, Rhode Island, among others. She is a participating artist at CharityGallery.com collaborative.
