Item Description
Boston artist Anna Comella wants the viewer of her work to " come closer in order to try to figure out what the various images are," and she has achieved that goal and more in her monoprint collage, This and That. Her artistic process of construction and deconstruction, which involves drawing, ripping, inking, along with a variety of printmaking and painting techniques, achieves remarkable 3 dimensional effects, drawing the eye to discover ever shifting and colorful nuances.
This monoprint collage measures 21"(h) x 25"(w) in a brown wood frame under glass.
Anna Comella is a mixed- media artist who uses a "construction/deconstruction" method in her work. She is currently enrolled in the Artist's Diploma program at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. She is a member of the Attleboro Arts Museum, the Fort Point Arts Community, the Redbrick Artists, and the Monotype Guild of New England. Anna's work has been exhibited throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
