Item Description
Patrick Malin's pastel "Early Spring" is fresh, likeable and understated, with the promise of the season hinted at in its intuitive brushstrokes and touches of color. Patrick likes the idea of "painting directly from the landscape, reacting in an immediate way to what is seen..." His pastel on paper measures 15" (h) x 19" (w) in a blonde wood frame under glass (image size: 8" x 11").
Patrick Malin is a Providence-based artist currently creating open-air landscapes in pastel or oil on paper of the Providence metropolitan area. Mr. Malin was an award winner at the Attleboro Arts Museum's annual national Small Works show in May 2005.
